Michael Hines

For 20 years, I have been researching and writing on a wide array of topics.

What I Do

For B2B marketing, B2C marketing, investor relations, and consumer education, I can write entire websites, blog posts, web landing pages, human-interest stories, articles based on subject-matter expert interviews, social media copy, video scripts, white papers, brochures, and sales emails, integrating SEO strategies where required. My experience with investor relations copy, including annual reports, ESG reports, and ghostwriting letters and speeches for corporate executives is backed by a 15-year prior career in consulting and investment advising.

For any project I can conduct necessary research and analyze basic data trends.  I also work on longer-format content, such as a forthcoming cookbook on climatarian eating and cooking practices, as well as the last two ESG reports from China's e-commerce behemoth Alibaba.

With a 15-year prior career in consulting, I have some familiarity with all major sectors and industries, but I take particular interest in projects for financial services, healthcare, technology (including AI and blockchain), sustainability, and travel.

About Me

For 20 years I have been a researcher, copywriter and copy editor, with significant experience in the financial sector, technology, healthcare, and sustainability.

How I Work

I work on a contract and individual project basis. I can work on an hourly basis for research-heavy projects and a per-word rate for lighter writing and editing.  Most turn around times are same week.

My Ethos

The audience comes first - are they consumers, businesses, the highly educated, or specialists in a field?  My expertise is taking complicated subject matter, finding the story, and explaining it for the audience at hand.
